The Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Medicine at UCAM is a five-year program offered on the Murcia campus. This is a bilingual track, requiring 300 ECTS credits, where students develop the clinical and technical skills necessary for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of animal diseases. The curriculum integrates traditional veterinary medicine with a strong focus on animal welfare and the "One Health" concept, which links animal, human, and environmental health. The program features extensive hands-on training starting from the first year, utilizing specialized anatomy labs, surgical suites, and the university’s Veterinary Clinical Hospital. Students gain diverse professional experience through mandatory rotations in clinical practice, food safety inspection, and livestock production management. After completing a final degree project in their fifth year, graduates are fully qualified to practice as veterinarians across the European Union, pursuing careers in clinical medicine, public health, wildlife conservation, or the agri-food industry.
